Why are we running 100 miles and fundraising? See this picture to the left? This sweet girl is 16 yr old Angel Rentería with her mother, Kelly Carr.
In March 2022, Angel was walking her dog when a drunk woman in a truck hit her and left her in the road. The driver drove away without even calling an ambulance. Hours later a Angel was found and an ambulance took her to Kaiser South. Angel is a fighter and spent months in the ICU with her mother Kelly at her side.
Angel miraculously survived, but is now living with a severe brain injury and requires full time care.
Bea and Kellie decided to run 100 miles on March 10, 2023 in honor of Angel and raise money for her recovery.
An after party for the run will be hosted by @samlanecoaching and @tgpcrossfit who generously volunteered the space for this cause.
We will have raffle items available, food, and hopefully raise a lot of support for Angel and her mama, Kelly.
